Our Story and Vision

“Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

John 4:13-14

About Wellspring

In the winter of 2022, God began to stir something new among a group of neighbors and friends in the Germantown area. As we prayed about how to better serve our community impacted by the pandemic, political divides, and waning church involvement, we sensed God leading us to take a step of faith to start a new church.

For over a decade, many from our new church have served together in this community through investment in the local schools, community-wide block parties, sports teams, and small groups in our homes. Many others have joined us along the way to grow and serve together.

Our desire is to be a community-based church that models what we see in the church of the New Testament through teaching the Bible, fellowship with one another, breaking bread in homes, and expectant prayer. We seek to be a church that makes disciples in this community through gathering and serving. Our prayer is that Wellspring is a place where people experience Christ’s salvation, healing, and community as a “spring of water welling up to eternal life.”
